“Dancing Freak” was released as a 7” inch single on Robinson and Son Records in 1988, one of Kayla’s three solo singles in her music career. She also performed with 90s R&B/Hip Hop group Act III alongside songwriter, producer, and label owner Johnnie Lee Robinson. This single is fun and raw, leaning on sparse 80s boogie rhythms, creeping synth melodies, and an energetic Kayla Hill letting her freak flag fly on a bopping, strange anti-drug anthem.
